Info: Trajanus is quite old design, it was designed about 70 years ago, to be the main population and cargo transport. Trajanus has been specifically designed to transport people, however it can be easily modified to carry equipment. Trajanus was used on several occasions before the Gorg war, it was widely used transport. As more time elapsed the Trajanus became more and more important and in the Gorg war, Dominion war and in the Lightness war, especially in the Lightness war. In the Gorg and Dominion war, it served as an equipment transport mostly, which mostly carried replicators and reactors for ships, stations and planets that needed those. In the Lightness war, its main purpose was however to evacuate planets, sometimes they did carry equipment as well. Trajanus also served in the GA-IPA conflict. Currently Trajanus is still actively serving as the main population transport.

Info: Octavianus was designed at pretty much the same time as the Trajanus, however Octavianus was designed to be troop transport, not any population or cargo transport. However Octavianus didn't serve so a lot as a troop transport before the Gorg war, however it did transport troops from one location to another. Pretty much the first time Octavianus even was used to deploy troops was during the Dominion war, when it was used quite a lot. It was used to take over Dominion colonies during the war. In the Lightness war, Octavianus was used to evacuate population or military staff and/or equipment. Many Octavianuses were destroyed during the Lightness war. Octavianus was also used in the GA-IPA conflict to take over IPA colonies that had been captured by the GA. Also Octavianuses participated in the attack to the Emissary control world when they delivered troops to the control planet. Currently Octavianus is the main troop transport in Starfleet and is actively in service.
